A conflict situation
A contention circumstance I had been in was with one of my storage room associate or possibly I thought we were close. My associate and I was continually talking behind the store trough back when he wasnââ¬â¢t looking, yet then another associate chief position came up and my store trough was seeing me to perhaps fill the position. My associate truly didnââ¬â¢t like the way that my store trough was taking a gander at me so my colleague told my trough that I was ridiculing him for quite a while and he even that cameras to demonstrate it. My trough didnââ¬â¢t give me the position he offered it to my collaborator, we didnââ¬â¢t converse with each or not take a gander at one another for quite a long time. Thatââ¬â¢s what causes a proselyte strife. With him and me not talking it caused him to understand that he wasn't right about what he has done about the circumstance. A couple of months goes bye lastly my colleague said he was heartbroken about what he done and the main motivation behind why he did it was on the grounds that he was going to turned into a father with twins infants and he required the cash terrible. So toward the end I excuse him and I disclosed to him that he ought to have quite recently let me know and we would have never gone this long without conversing with each other. With the contention that I had with my associate I wish I utilize the five critical thinking phases of compromise, supposing that I did I truly accept my colleague and I would have never gone for such a long time with addressing each other. I would prescribe everybody to utilize these means to tackle any contention you may have with someone else in light of the fact that you probably won't get one more opportunity to make things right once more. I truly think when an individual is utilizing utilize the five critical thinking phases of compromise, there ought to be only a positive result in any circumstance. I likewise accept that on the off chance that it doesnââ¬â¢t need out that you presumably truly didnââ¬â¢t need to allow to comprehend the contention. The five critical thinking phases of compromise allows you to make up with that other individual even with the last advance is to learn and acknowledge the way that it probably won't work or you can simply begin the means once again .

Of Mice And Man Essays - American Literature, Literature
Of Mice And Man The book that I have perused that has truly remained with me is Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. I truly delighted in perusing it which is abnormal on the grounds that I usualy loath perusing to a lot. There was something about George and Lennie's fellowship that truly made me think. Perceiving how they were and how they shared life was truly intresting. George didn't need to waste time with Lennie, he could have deserted him and gone on his own way. In any case, he didn't do that, he remained with Lennie looking out for him practically like a parent to a youngster. Despite the fact that Lennie consistently got Georege in a difficult situation, George never stoped adoring him and consistently remained by him. The fellowship they shared went past what was straightforward they each mutual a fantasy and both knew they ment the world to one another. I felt that if these totaly various individuals could get along and pay special mind to one another, for what reason wouldn't we be able to coexist with individuals who are unique in relation to us. They caused me to understand that I could get the hang of something from how to treat individuals who are differnt than me. What I additionally preferred about it was the manner in which they tried constantly to arrive at their fantasy. This made me feel that on the off chance that they could buckle down for there dream why wouldn't i be able to. It gave me that it doesn't make a difference were you originated from or what you do, it is alright to dream and work as hard as possible to reach it. For all it appears for fellowship and faithfulness it likewise shows how some of the time you need to do things you never figured you would do. For model at long last when George is compelled to shoot Lennie in the head you could never have figured he would do that, however you can see that considering the present situation he had no other decision. He just had two decisions let the others get to him first and watch them torment Lennie while he passed on a long frightful demise or do it without anyone else's help and get it over brisk were Lennie didn't have the foggiest idea what hit him. This is additionally evident throughout everyday life, commonly we are confronted with tuff decisions and despite the fact that they might be the hardest you should experience, you realize that that is the main way. You go to the acknowledgment that all that you considered, would all be able to change with a squint of the eye.

I Cant Read Any More Celebrity Memoirs
I Cant Read Any More Celebrity Memoirs Although memoir is one of my favorite genres, the past few years have seen a glut of celebrity (or celebrity-adjacent) autobiographies that have left me cold. In a way, I blame social media. We live in a world where people are constantly writing their own mini-memoirs, and the distance between the average person and a famous movie star seems to tighten every day. More than that, standards for what makes a celebrity loveable have changed drastically: glamour must be mitigated with self-deprecation. Multi-bazillionaires are under pressure to somehow exude normalcy. I donât know that any of this is definitively bad â" I like knowing that I have things in common with people that I admire â" but lately, the relentlessness claims of ârelatabilityâ ring hollow more often than not. It isnât that I am anti the celebrity memoir I laughed out loud at Tina Feyâs Bossypants; Mindy Kalingâs Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me was as adorable as Kaling herself â" itâs just that I increasingly find myself completely unwilling to seek them out. While these books seemed to typify the digital age celebrity as one who is willing to include in their book color photos of their dorky childhood and speak openly about their insecurities or even mental illnesses, ultimately, they are a celebration of imperfections only up to a point. This isnât the fault of Tina Fey or Mindy Kaling (or Anna Kendrick or Amy Poehler or anyone else). But I think that when writing a memoir, sometimes the fact of being a public figure can be almost a setback as much as might be the reason that someone picks up the book: celebrities, women especially, are limited by the need to maintain a certain image. Cuteness, for example, becomes a priority. A message to the readers (who are also movie viewers, Twitter followers, etc.) must be embedded within the story. My favorite memoirs are volatile, specific, obsessive, and occasionally gross. Theyâre unhinged. Sometimes they lack a neat âand here I amâ finish. One of my favorite books I read in the past year, Love and Trouble by Claire Dederer, was a relentless reflection on marriage, middle-age, and sex in the authorâs own life. Throughout the book, the author expresses ambivalence about the fact that her youthful days of partying and promiscuity in Seattle, which she spent surrounded by artists and musicians, have been replaced with the much quieter realities of raising children in the suburbs. What could easily have been a somewhat trite and nostalgic book is fractured and difficult, as if the author is genuinely struggling to connect the dots between her twenty-year-old and forty-year-old selves. A book that I liked slightly less but appreciate for similar reasons is Melissa Broderâs So Sad Today, a collection of essays so personal that at times I actually couldnât believe Broderâs willingness to publish it. : Her eating disorder, her deepest sexual fantasies, and her open relationship with her partner all become fair game for Broder, and such topics are rendered in prose that is ferocious and a little unhinged. Perhaps itâs a little unfair to compare the works of professional writers like Dederer and Broder to the works of celebrities. After all, people like Amy Poehler write memoirs for very different reasons: to give advice, for example. But personally, I come to memoirs wanting to see someone speak about life in all its weirdness and complexity â" and not necessarily with a moral of the story. I think my reasoning is also a little bit political: I like reading women who are messy and unrehearsed. These days, Iâm just less interested in hearing voices that have been filtered through image consultants and undeniably affected by years of success. I think Iâm picky about memoirs because I believe, most of all, that itâs a genre that encourages experimentation: with style, with narrative, and even with the truth. Memoirists navigate millions of choices about what to include and how to include in recording the story of their lives so far, but for me as a reader, the ultimate outcome of these choices has to be authenticity. And at a certain point, ârelatableâ stops feeling real. Sign up for True Story to receive nonfiction news, new releases, and must-read forthcoming titles. Thank you for signing up! Comparing and Contrasting quot;My Papas Waltzquot; and...
In comparing and contrasting the poems, My Papas Waltz by Theodore Roethke and Piano by D. H. Lawrence, the reader could also compare and contrast the childhood lives of the poets themselves. Roethkes father, Otto Roethke, was a drunk and a figure of terror to his son (Seager 26). His mother was an angry woman and Theodore was a desperate child consistently in the middle of his parents opposition (Seager 28). D.H. Lawrences father was a drunk, almost illiterate miner (Squires and Talbot 34). His mother; however, was educated, refined, and pious, ruling the lives of her sons (Squires and Talbot 42). Reviewing the form, tone, and imagery of both poems, the attitude of the boy towards his father in Roethkes My Papas Waltz allowsâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦(1-4) The reflection of each poets childhood is displayed within these lines helping to build a tone for the memories of each narrator. The tone of My Papas Waltz differs from the tone in Piano. The ironic tone of the first poem is one of a young man looking back in fear of his father. But I hung on like death.../The hand that held my wrist.../You beat time on my head... (3-13). The reader senses a painful scene, which the father appears to hurt and demean his son. On the other hand, the tone of Piano is more melancholy. In spite of myself.../Betrays me back.../To the old Sunday evenings at home... (5-7). The reader can feel the lyrical and longing tone in the narrators description of a man who wishes he could go back in time to his childhood where he listened happily to the sounds of the family piano. Roethkes tone towards his father is reflected in the anger and resentment coming from the boy to his father in his poem, while Lawrences tone towards his childhood memories reflect a longing to return to the love and happiness of his youth. Both poets use their poems tone to create specific imagery solidifying the read ers perception of each boys state of mind. The imagery of My Papas Waltz also differs from the imagery of Piano. The imagery in My Papas Waltz expresses

Should We Learn About It - 852 Words
Introduction There are many issues today involving genetics and inheritances; therefore, I want to introduce this subject to students and allow them the opportunity to learn about it. Before students begin this genetics unit they should have a basic understanding of DNA, cellular reproduction, and the process of mitosis and meiosis. Additionally, this unit will contain activities that require students to employ critical and higher order thinking skills; I believe these skills can prepare students for the kinds of issues they may encounter in the world in the future. According to the Next Generation Science Standards which are endorsed by the National Science Teachers Association, students should be able to analyze and interpret data to provide evidence that plants and animals have traits inherited from parents and that variation of these traits exists in other organisms. Moreover, students should be able to ask questions that clarify the role DNA and chromosomes have in coding the instructions for characteristics passed from parents to offspring (NGSS, 2016). Recognizing that even the simplest genetic cross requires combining inferences about two complex processes which are how genetic traits are inherited through meiosis and mating and how these traits interact to produce the external differences that are seen in parents and offspring. Additionally, students should have opportunities to learn the basic concepts of genetics that provide an increased understanding ofShow MoreRelatedWhy Should We Learn About It?849 Words à |à 4 PagesSTATEMENT OF PURPOSE Introduction There are many issues today involving genetics and inheritances; therefore, I want to introduce this subject to students and allow them the opportunity to learn about it. Emotional Intelligence Quotient Free Essays
The concept of Emotional Intelligence (EIQ) may seem foreign to some. However, its lack of popularity does not mean that it is significant. Emotional Intelligence provides individuals with an insight into their personality. We will write a custom essay sample on Emotional Intelligence Quotient or any similar topic only for you Order Now It helps people to identify the areas of their behavior that they may need to improve. Just like the IQ, the EIQ serves as a valuable measure by which people can learn about their weaknesses and strengths. There are various free EQ surveys available online. One of the websites that provide a free EIQ test is Discovery Health. The test I took was composed of a series of questions that required me to rate myself based on how much I feel the given statement applies to me. While I was taking the test, I remembered the multitude of personality tests that were administered in high school. The statements I was answering were very similar in nature to those I used to answer in school. As I responded to each question, I tried to look back on situations where the given statements applied. For each statement, I tried to remember the number of instances where I did as the statement said. At the end of the test, I found out that I scored average. Quite frankly, I was relieved to find out that I was the same as most people. However, the results also enlightened me to the fact that there is room for improvement in my life. There is so much that I can do to make myself a better person most especially in the way I relate to people and on how I maximize my talents and abilities. As the websiteââ¬â¢s explanation said, ââ¬Å"You are not taking full advantage of your potential.â⬠Basically, my results suggest that I should constantly seek for improvement in how I deal with others and in how I utilize my skills. As earlier mentioned, my results suggest that there is still room for improvement. I can still change and become a better person. There is still a chance for me to increase my EIQ. The website suggested that one way by which I can improve my score is by learning new skills and honing the skills that I have already acquired. Also, it was suggested that I learn new ways by which I deal with people. Indeed, these are the two primary ways by which I can develop myself. New skills will be greatly beneficial for it will make me more competent and capable of handling a wider range of tasks. However, learning new skills is not enough. In order to become a better person, I should be able to develop the ability to fully utilize such skills and to discern which ones will be needed for certain situations. Better decision making is key in enhancing oneââ¬â¢s EIQ. In terms of improving the way I deal with people, I know that I must develop better communication skills. Relationships with others rely heavily on communication. Logically, better communication will mean better relationships. As such, it is evident that improving my communication skills is a key element in the development of my personality and in the enhancement of my emotional intelligence. Tests such as the one I took should not be taken as a complete assessment of an individual. It must be considered merely as a possible indication of how a person behaves. Having said such, I believe that every person has always room to grow and develop. There is always something new to learn or something to improve. Learning and developing has no end. They are constant processes that are a part of life. How to cite Emotional Intelligence Quotient, Essay examples

Thailand: Political Culture INTRODUCTION For us to be able to study political culture, it is imperative that we first learn how to define it. Political culture refers to the attitudes, beliefs and values, which underpin the operation of a particular political system. These were even seen as including the knowledge and skills about the political system, positive and negative emotional feelings towards it and the evaluative judgments about that system. Particular regional, ethnic or other groups within a political system which are referred to as subcultures have their own way of dealing with the political system that the political culture in one country can be united or may even be diverse. It stated different reasons for this such as (1) statist economic development which says that the government of that certain country is involved or even controls the economic development of their country so, there is intervention on the part of the government in terms of the economy; (2) culture as a factor where the people in the government and the society accepts the thought of development in the economy and also the government but they do not apply it because they want to preserve the traditional cultures of the people; (3) racial and ethnic division; (4) external factors such as intervention from foreign countries and even the IMF or the World Bank and; (5) political factors. This thesis holds true for countries like Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia where we can see that they are economically developed but there is no democracy in the country because of two or more reasons stated abov e. Indian view essays
Indian view essays The Indian writing titled, I Went to Kill the Deer, by the Taos Pueblo Indians introduced a very unique kind of perspective about the universe. For one, the writing offers the suggestion of personification. In other words, the writer gave things that arent alive human characteristics and traits. An example of this would be when he says, The heart of the mountain beats(Taos Pueblo). When he refers to the mountain as having a heart, it makes one think that the tribe views the mountain as being alive as a kind of symbol of their respect for nature. Secondly, the writing infers that animals communicate with one another. In the writing, the eagle tells the deer theres danger. A hunter writes, An eagle saw me coming and/ Flew down to the home of the deer/ And told him that a hunter came to kill(Taos Pueblo). This shows their understanding that creatures of the same kind need to stick together to protect each other. Otherwise, there would be no need for an animal which preys on the dead to warn another of being killed. Thirdly, the writing implies that there is always going to be different unknown territory of some kind for every species. The deer runs to a place in which it is safe from the man. As the hunter says, The deer went with the eagle/ Into the heart of the mountain/ Safe from me who did not hear/ The heart of the mountain beating(Taos Pueblo) He can not feel the heart beat because it is not his territory or his right to be there. So in a way, the Taos Pueblo Indians dont think of themselves any different or better than anything else because they have a respect for life and the universe. ...

Cultural diversity in the media Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2750 words
Cultural diversity in the media - Essay Example These include: the ubiquity, infiltration and monotony of mass media in reinforcing the durability of such representations; the problems faced by the highly profit-oriented commercial media in introducing complex representations; and the close association of mass media with the elites in the society, which prevents it from changing its status quo. Ever since the invention of tools of mass-media such as television over a century ago, prominent means of visual media such as films and motion-pictures have used conventional forms of cultural representations, which even after decades, are recycled with little or no changes, and served to the audiences through various genres and outlets. The lack of change in the characterization and cultural depiction of people belonging to a certain ethnic or cultural background (for instance, Asians, Hispanics or African-Americans) can be attributed to the popularity and acceptance of their identity by the masses and their reluctance to accept or percei ve them in non-conventional ways; or the economic pressures which is related to the need to attract the mainstream audiences who are used to the familiar albeit stereotypical depiction of people belonging to culturally diverse backgrounds. Research has shown that television shows which have attempted to break the cultural stereotypes through use of non-conventional portrayal of people belonging to culturally diverse backgrounds, have received negative response and had a limited impact in addressing the issue on hand (Chan-Olmsted & Albarran, 1998; Hollifield, 2001; McChesney, 1999). It can thus be said that television as a medium of mass communication has an intrinsic penchant to fixate on a redundant yet popular concept or ideology... This paper on ââ¬ËCultural diversity in the mediaââ¬â¢ represents cultural diversity within American media that dates as far back as the early 1950s. The first instances of depiction of culturally diverse people in Hollywood were witnessed during the early 1950s where mixed raced couples, were shown on screen. This was at a time when films and television shows were highly white dominated. Such representations of racial and ethnic minorities in films i.e. popular mass-media, indicated the liberal expressions of sentiments of the majority of white Americans towards and regarding people of different races, thus showing hints of subtle prejudice, bigotry and racism as observed in daily lives during that era. Although these films and television shows largely catered to the majority i.e. white American audience, such representation showed the growing acceptance of cultural diversity in popular media. Today, the cultural diversity in the American films and television shows is more evi dent and there is a high representation of not only African-Americans but also of people belonging to other ethnicities such as Hispanics and Asians as well. Popular television show such as ââ¬ËThe Big Bang Theoryââ¬â¢ (showcasing an Indian, as a part of the core star cast) is telecast at prime time in the U.S. and has rapidly gained popularity. The rising popularity of such shows indicates the changing culture of contemporary America which is essentially a mix of various racially and ethnically diverse populations.

Effects on Politics at home The Vietnam War brought complete turmoil to the American society. It all started when President Harry Truman wanted to stop the spread of communism in the Middle East and Asia by promoting the United States as an anti-communism country and offering help to other countries that were also against communism. President Truman used the word containment to describe this act of stopping communism in his foreign policies. This containment policy transcended to the 1960s, when John F. Kennedy and his successor, Lyndon B. Johnson, were presidents. Kennedy won his presidency based largely on the fact that he promised to be more involvement in Vietnam (which was favored largely by the United States population) and the Cold War in general. Kennedy wanted to be more involved in Vietnam, and the Cold War in general, to preserve Americaââ¬â¢s power. With Kennedy and his team of U.S. Foreign Policy advisors, they believed to preserve Americaââ¬â¢s power they could help the development of Third World countriesââ¬âmostly, in turn so they will not become communist countries. One of these countries so happened to be Laos, however, it soon fell to communism and Kennedy had to pull back forces. With the failure of the Bay of Pigs invasion and the back down in Laos, Kennedy believed that America could not withstand another failure; another hit that would diminish Americaââ¬â¢s integrity. This is what led to Kennedyââ¬â¢s involvement in Vietnamââ¬âfor he could not take another defeat of it. Kennedy offered a huge amount of support for the Ngo Dinh Diemââ¬â¢s Government. However, Kennedy rejected continuous proposals on sending large amounts of American troops into Vietnam in fear of a full out war and a huge rate of deployment. Instead, Kennedy ... ...t about 2 billion dollars a month, leading America to experience deficits and inflation. Because of this de-valued U.S. currency, it lead foreign investors to invest in things more profitableââ¬âtaking away a lot of Americaââ¬â¢s revenue. This lead to extremely higher tax rates, which also, threaten Johnsonââ¬â¢s reelection. There were protests in the streets, angry civilians, too many soldiers overseas, and chaos among congress, that led to Johnsonââ¬â¢s downfall. America was an absolute turmoil, and because Johnson relied too heavily on his advisorsââ¬âwhich often had many different opinionsââ¬âhe did not know how to control the chaos. When reelection time came around, Richard M. Nixon won in a landslide with the promise of ending war in Vietnam. By 1969, Nixon had instituted Vietnamization. This policy ended Americaââ¬â¢s involvement in the war and lead to a more stable America.

Mainframe/Pc Evolution
Mainframe/PC Evolution The evolution of mainframe computing to personal computing began with the invention of the mainframe for businesses and government use. The Personal Computer (PC) evolved from companies wanting the same information from scaled down version of the mainframe and dumb terminal. Though they both consist of data storage, processors, input and output devices. However, they have their differences. Mainframes The mainframe was invented in the 1950ââ¬â¢s. One of the first mainframes was the Univac 1, which was delivered to the Census Bureau in 1952.It measured 25-feet by 50-feet and had a storage capacity of 1000 words or 12,000 characters (Lexikon Services, 1982). In the 1970s the mainframe changed with the development of UNIX operating system (Rogers, 2010). A mainframe according to Vaughan (n. d. ), ââ¬Å"A mainframe is a continually evolving general purpose computing platform incorporating in it architectural definition the essential functionality required by it s target applicationsâ⬠(par. 5). The Mainframe is a multi-user data storage and application computing system.Mainframe systems can be a single mainframe unit or multiple mainframe units, depending on the number of users and uses, it is needed for. Information is entered in on a dumb terminal or workstation. The mainframe can be in the same room or in another room and even on a different floor. The mainframe is known for its reliability and why companies are willing to spend the half-a-million dollars or more for them. Mainframes have fast bus speeds, high cache speeds, error detection, and error correction (Rogers, 2010). Personal Computers One of the first computers to be considered a Personal Computer was the IBM PC in 1981.Others were invented from 1955. It consisted of a monitor, keyboard, and desktop base with diskette drives. It weighed 28 pounds. Companies were looking for a way to down-scale and cut the cost of the mainframe system. The Personal Computer, according to Whatis. com is a ââ¬Å"microcomputer designed for use by one person at a timeâ⬠(TechTarget, 2008, par. 1). In todayââ¬â¢s terms it consist of a display unit, keyboard, mouse, tower or desktop that consists of a hard drive, memory, processors, mother board, and other hardware to carry out its functions as a microcomputer. The cost of a Personal Computer has become affordable over the years for an individual to purchase for home use as well as company use. The use of a personal computer varies in that it is used for company business, home computing, gaming, and has other opportunities for an individual computing needs. The PC has changed the way people do business, pay their bills, entertain themselves, and communicate. The PC can process data, run programs and applications, become a database, and can be networked into other PCââ¬â¢s and mainframes. The Personal Computer makes it easier for smaller companies to achieve what larger companies can do with mainframes. Pcââ¬â ¢s can be networked together can share the same information, store information, and work efficiently. The hand held PC provides for computing mobility, which provides for more productivity. PC and Mainframe Comparison The mainframe is a large, reliable, multi-user computing system costing millions of dollars. If a mainframe has any downtime, the whole system and users cannot work. The PC is a small, affordable, and single user microcomputer that an individual can buy.It can be used for business and home computing. It has similarities to the mainframe; display unit, keyboard, processor, memory, information storage, and operating systems. Contrasts ââ¬Å"Mainframe operating systems are designed primarily to optimize utilization of hardware. Personal computer (PC) operating systems support complex games, business applications, and everything in betweenâ⬠(Silbershcatz, Galvin, & Gagne, 2009). The mainframe is more costly than a PC. However, it is more reliable than the PC. The ma inframe can process information much faster than a PC.It also has faster bus speeds and higher cache speeds. The hardware in a mainframe has error detection and error correction for less downtime (Rogers, 2010). The PC is smaller, cheaper, and a single-user computer system. Its uses include home, business, and entertainment purposes. The PC system is can easily be moved by one person, the Mainframe system takes multiple people to move it. Conclusion The mainframe made way for the personal computer. In a large business setting a mainframe would be worth the price. The PC is continuing to evolve and is becoming smaller and more evolved as technology advances. Even though they have their differences, each serves it purpose in todayââ¬â¢s society. References Blinkenlights Archaeological Institute. (1999-2007). Pop Quiz: What was the first personal computer? Same Sex Marriage During The United States - 2344 Words
Same-Sex Marriage in the United States Nora Botros Political Science 100 California State University, Fullerton The United States Constitution lists civil rights that everyone should be granted as a citizen of the United States. However, there has been a struggle over the civil rights of the LGBT community, and how the amendments of the constitution have been interpreted. This has become common especially regarding the Fourteenth Amendment. Currently, there is a large focus on the ongoing debate for legalizing or legalizing same-sex marriage in the United States. This issue has become so large that there is also a controversy on whether the federal government should be involved in the decision on whether to legalize itâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Although someone may be affiliated with these political parties does not necessarily mean that they all hold the same views on same-sex marriage. Liberals, like President Barack Obama, generally side with the arguments that favor same-sex marriage and believe that it should be legalized. Conservatives, on the other hand, such as President Bill Clin ton and President George W. Bush, believe that marriage should be kept the way it has always been, and generally oppose the legalization of same-sex marriage. The personal views of each president has been seen in their policies and legislations. There are several arguments as to why same-sex marriage should be legalized, which will be explored in this paper. Those who support same-sex marriage argue that allowing same-sex couples to marry will not cause any harm to ââ¬Å"traditionalâ⬠marriages and will not ruin the sanctity of marriage. Another common argument is the fact that marriage is about love and commitment. If two people of the same sex love each other and want to be committed to each other, why are they not able to get married? Denying gays the right to marry is often seen as a discrimination based on sex and a violation of civil rights, which should not be denied to anyone. Marriage is a civil right and should be granted to everyone no matter their race, gender or sexual orientation. Gay marriage supporters also believe that allowing only a man and a woman to marry
